Description

Being a Memphis native, renowned artist Jerry Lynn was compelled to create this masterpiece "Memphis Blues", in memory of the young king Tyre Nichols. His painting embodies the wonderful characteristics that Tyre Nichols exhibited. His passion for skateboarding and his love for sunsets is captured masterfully by Lynn. The Lorraine Motel symbolizes the deep rooted history of inequality in the city of Memphis. The protesters in the painting shows a community coming together to fight against injustice. Throughout the painting you will notice many images that tell a story. Through this painting Tyre’s  spirit will continue to live on and touch the lives of others.  It serve as a reminder to keep striving for justice and equality.
